Company Overview

Kennedy Funding had its inception in 1987, a direct private lender with a difference. Kennedy realized the traditional lending industry had two glaring flaws: a lack of speed, and a lack of flexibility. Banks, credit unions, and other conservative lending organizations took weeks or even months to close a loan; there were no shortcuts, and no faster avenues. What’s more, the traditional lenders were supremely inflexible, refusing to try and accommodate any unusual elements inherent within a borrower’s loan. Accordingly, Kennedy set out to change all that, and became known as the alternative lender able to close loans between $1 million and $100 million in ten business days or less. In addition, the company acquired a deserved reputation for being genuinely interested in its clients, to the point where special considerations were always taken into account, and even the ‘impossible’ loans became routinely ‘possible’ for Kennedy Funding.

In 1996, Kennedy became a global concern, conducting its already renowned domestic lending philosophies on a world stage. Today, known internationally as experts in all forms of commercial real estate bridge loans, including raw land, Kennedy is at the forefront of the direct private situational lending arena. Kennedy Funding currently has affiliations with clients in North America, Latin and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Far East.

Executive Biographies:

Jeffrey Wolfer – President and Co-CEO Jeff Wolfer has been instrumental in evolving Kennedy Funding into a globally successful and tactically innovative organization. Starting with a definite vision, Jeff built a core team of professional loan executives, legal counsel, and support personnel, and implemented a strategic plan which resulted in the acceleration of sales and expansion throughout the world -- including into Latin and South America, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Because of Jeff’s foresight, tenacity, experience, and talent, Kennedy Funding was better able to effectively serve the financial needs of borrowers worldwide. Then he turned in a completely new direction: Instead of merely providing distress loans, he turned the company into a situational lender, opening up entire new vistas of opportunity for Kennedy Funding. It is this situational status, combined with Kennedy’s appetite for raw land loans (using the raw land itself as collateral) that today differentiates the company from the majority of its competition. The company now thrives on land development and land acquisition loans, and leverages them to cement relationships between themselves, clients, and the brokerage industry.

Jeffrey, a native of New Jersey, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in financing from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
